The Armenian Genocide — The Medz Yeghe՛rn ( Մեծ Եղեռն)
The Medz Yeghe՛rn is a series of 24 paintings by R. J. Mendola designed to illustrate the Armenian Genocide, which took place between the years of 1914 to 1918, and is estimated to have resulted in the deaths of 1 to 1.5 million Armenians. Inspired by the unspeakable atrocities committed against these people, including expropriation of wealth and property, deportations, and mass murder, the series is collectively known as "Medz Yeghe՛rn" or "The Great Crime."
